Hello everyone.

My name is Darren Clinton and I have been an Elvis fan since I was 13 years old, from first watching This Is Elvis in 1996, his 19th Anniversary. My father was always a fan, his favourite concert being Aloha From Hawaii, my subjection to it every Sunday from a boy, was in one way, a deterrent, from an early age. It was not until the 19th Anniversary that he asked me to record This Is Elvis for him, that got me hooked. The documentary which spanned his beginnings to untimely end, fascinated me and got me hooked. I had caught the Elvis Bug. The rest I guess is history as they say.

Since 1996 and over the past eleven years, I continue to increase and develop my Elvis Catalogue of collectables and memorabilia. I am an eager author and have written many articles for an Irish Fan Club. Over the years I have been blessed to have met many of Elvis' close confidents and colleagues including Charlie Hodge, Jerry Scheff, Ronnie Tutt, Glen Hardin and Red West to name a few.

While writing my articles, and researching the web for ideas, it struck me that there was a limited number of online resources to fans in Ireland alone. While always interested in being involved in contributing to the memory of Elvis, while I did consider a fan club, I thought I would take a different approach. Considering Ireland has a large reputable fan club organising many charitable events, I thought why compete for the one good cause. Online was to be my course of direction, hence elvisonline.org.

As the site develops, and so do I with it, I hope you enjoy your visit and come back again, whilst leaving your info and electronic signatures. Elvis continues to bring people together thirty years after his passing, so lets get in touch...

Take care,

Darren

NOV: ALERT!!!

Elvis, No 1 Dead Celebrity Earner 2008

ElvisMatters

The American magazine Forbes just published it's yearly
list of top earning dead celebrities. Elvis is still the number
one in this list with a whopping $52 million. That is more
than some of today's active entertainers. For example,
Madonna earned $40 million. Famous legends as Marilyn
Monroe and James Dean are among the steady names in
the list. New arrivals are actors that just passed away:
Heath Ledger and Paul Newman. Two years ago, Elvis lost
the number 1 position to Kurt Cobain, who's catalogue was
sold in 2006. His name does not appear on the list anymore.

Courtessey: ElvisMatters
What is your opinion of Elvis songs remixed, such as the latest 2008 remix of Baby Let's Play House?
I dislike thinking they spoil the original and Elvis' originality.
I think they are fantastic and contribute to his continued legacy.

What do you think of the scheduled Elvis duets Christmas album to be released?
I think it is a fantastic idea and welcome Elvis' work remixed...
I totally disagree with it and messes with Elvis' original work, something he was strongely against...

What is your opinion of EPE's latest statement and speculated expansion intentions?
I think it will commercialise Elvis too much and loose his original appeal.
I think it is great and promote his name in the music industry and to future generations.

Do you think the CBS Special of 1977 should be released as a Special Edition ?
 Yes
 No

Should FTD go down the road of DVD releases?
 Yes
 No

What is your opinion of Elvis Tribute Artists?
They are excellent and a credit to the continued preservation of Elvis' legacy.
I dislike Elvis Tribute Artists and think that they do nothing, if not tarnish, his legacy.
