|
 |
|
Image (C) EPE
The electricity of an Elvis concert, his captivation, energy, etc, etc, hold treasured memories for anyone who experienced him live. With my own closest experience being Elvis The Concert, it was the next best thing. The Elvis Remembered page, will host fans accounts of witnessing him life, their memories, and allow them to share for what most of us missed out on. Postings will consist of interviews with fans of such audiences by me as well as their individual postings/memoirs.

Jim Morrow of the USA, spoke with ElvisOnLine on January 30th. Having seen Elvis on numerous occasions, here his memories...
darren says, "Hello Jim"
Jim says, "Hi Darren"
darren says, "Welcome to my new chat room"
Jim says, "The first time I saw Elvis in concert was in Cleveland in 71"
darren says, "Its amazing Jim to meet people that were fortunate enough to witness Elvis first hand in a live
concert"
Jim says, "I was home on leave and my brother had gotten tickets for all of us his family and me"
darren says, "Had you been a fan at that point?"
Jim says, "Elvis put on a fantastic performance"
Jim says, "Yes I was a fan since I was 10 I was born in 53"
darren says, "Can you recall any particular moment of the show Jim, that stands out?"
Jim says, "How great thou art was the highlight as far as the amazing depth and sweetness of Elvis'e"
Jim says, "There was such excitement and electricity in the air at the concert but the hair stood on the back of my
neck when he sang that number"
darren says, "Interesting Jim, it is a particular favourite of mine. My only possible real time experience of this song
was from "Elvis The Concert". At 26, I never got the chance to meet or see Elvis perform. "
darren says, "How many times have you seen him in performance?"
Jim says, "He was in great shape, his voice never failed him and you could almost feel like he was signing to
each fan there, he truley loved his fans"
darren says, "How many times have you seen him in performance?"
Jim says, "5 or 6 I saw him once in Cleveland, twice in Rochester, once or twice in Niagra falls, Buffalo and
Memphis, I was stationed in Memphis from 72-74 in the Marines"
darren says, "Amazing, and such a treat. To speak with fans, its lucky to meet one that had even a once
opportunity. Have any of the concerts you attended been released on tape?"
Jim says, "There are a few stories on that time that I would like to share a t a later date, Elvis was very down to
Earth, and spoke with a normal and friendly voice his abitlity to make you feel comfortable was amazing"
Jim says, "Sorry, there are a couple of bootlegs out, for the Cleveland, Niagra falls and unfortuneately the
Rochester concert is not very good, I have several pictures of these concerts as well \"
darren says, "May I ask you, a question which I always ask people in attendance of such particular recordings. On
rehearing a particular concert you attended, does it bring back any special memories or instances that Elvis
did, that you may have forgot."
darren says, "i.e. does it relive the memory or moment?"
Jim says, "Yes, I can recall most of the show, but there are special moments such as favs sang during that really
stand out"
darren says, "Jim, I could talk and question you all evening, perhaps, we could arrange a more detailled
chat at your convenience?"
Jim says, "That would be fine, I'm not sure of the difference in time I'm in NY so it's EST, perhaps
tomorrow you have my email, and if there's a conflict I'll let you know, till then take care and cheers"
darren says, "Thank you Jim for chatting to ElvisOnLine. Take care."

COMING SOON, ELVISONLINE REVIEWS ...
THE LOVE SONGS
Always a true romantic, Elvis recorded many, many love songs throughout his career, beginning with "I Want You I Need You I Love You" in 1956 and running the entire span of his life. Entire eras of his remarkable life and career can be evoked by the mere mention of the title of one of his many love songs. Mention "Love Me Tender" and a hundred images spring to mind. The same can be said for his many other songs of romance. Elvis and his love songs had remained an unexplored area of Elvis' remarkable career. Now,"Love Me Tender. The Love Songs Of Elvis Presley" tells the warm story of the tender side of the King of Rock and Roll. Narrated by Ashley Judd, "Love Me Tender" is Elvis as you've never seen him.

NOV: ALERT!!!
Elvis, No 1 Dead Celebrity Earner 2008
 |
|
The American magazine Forbes just published it's yearly
list of top earning dead celebrities. Elvis is still the number
one in this list with a whopping $52 million. That is more
than some of today's active entertainers. For example,
Madonna earned $40 million. Famous legends as Marilyn
Monroe and James Dean are among the steady names in
the list. New arrivals are actors that just passed away:
Heath Ledger and Paul Newman. Two years ago, Elvis lost
the number 1 position to Kurt Cobain, who's catalogue was
sold in 2006. His name does not appear on the list anymore.
