They said it wouldn't return... In reflection of Elvis' own words from an early 1970's concert to Charlie Hodge during a song break he asked, "Do you think when I'll die, people will remember me?"... Having last seen this concert in Dublin in 2007, its back for a fourth time... ELVIS HAS NEVER BEEN AS POPULAR... AND HE RETURNS BACK TO DUBLIN IN 2010!!!
I will be updating this page in the coming weeks, sharing memories/thoughts and fan comments of those who experienced the concert in Ireland and its various other venues to gauge fans opinions of the show, and why it is the nearest thing to seeing Elvis live, holding him in a very prominent position in today's entertainment industry...

"Elvis Presley in Concert" Returns for European Tour
4/14/2009
"Elvis Presley in Concert," the production that reunites Elvis' former bandmates live on stage with a video-projected Elvis, will tour Europe in February and March of 2010, it was announced today. After multiple, sold-out concert tours and a hiatus of nearly two years, worldwide public demand is at an all-time high for this Elvis concert experience.
This latest tour will include engagements in England, Ireland, Scotland, Holland and other European countries to be announced soon.
"Elvis Presley in Concert" is a production of SEG Events, in association with Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. (EPE). It is produced by Stig Edgren of SEG Events. Performers currently scheduled to participate include: Joe Guercio, Elvis' orchestra conductor for many of his Vegas performances; members of the original TCB Band; Elvis' backup singers The Imperials and The Sweet Inspirations.
The show's concept is to present an authentic Elvis Presley concert. The producers have edited together a collection of Elvis' finest concert performances that exist on film and video and removed all sound from the footage except for Elvis' vocal track. The Elvis footage is projected on state-of-the-art video screens. On stage, singers and a 16-piece orchestra perform live in sync with Elvis on video. All music heard in the concert production is performed live. Elvis concert footage for the show comes primarily from the MGM concert films Elvis, That's The Way It Is (1970) and Elvis on Tour (1972); outtakes from these two films as seen in the video package entitled Elvis, The Lost Performances; and the historic 1973 global television special Elvis: Aloha from Hawaii, via Satellite. This footage contains some of Elvis' finest performances from the concert era of his career.

COMING SOON, ELVISONLINE REVIEWS ...
THE LOVE SONGS
Always a true romantic, Elvis recorded many, many love songs throughout his career, beginning with "I Want You I Need You I Love You" in 1956 and running the entire span of his life. Entire eras of his remarkable life and career can be evoked by the mere mention of the title of one of his many love songs. Mention "Love Me Tender" and a hundred images spring to mind. The same can be said for his many other songs of romance. Elvis and his love songs had remained an unexplored area of Elvis' remarkable career. Now,"Love Me Tender. The Love Songs Of Elvis Presley" tells the warm story of the tender side of the King of Rock and Roll. Narrated by Ashley Judd, "Love Me Tender" is Elvis as you've never seen him.

NOV: ALERT!!!
Elvis, No 1 Dead Celebrity Earner 2008
 |
|
The American magazine Forbes just published it's yearly
list of top earning dead celebrities. Elvis is still the number
one in this list with a whopping $52 million. That is more
than some of today's active entertainers. For example,
Madonna earned $40 million. Famous legends as Marilyn
Monroe and James Dean are among the steady names in
the list. New arrivals are actors that just passed away:
Heath Ledger and Paul Newman. Two years ago, Elvis lost
the number 1 position to Kurt Cobain, who's catalogue was
sold in 2006. His name does not appear on the list anymore.
