ELVIS PRESLEY'S GRACELAND...
"The only time I can be me is when I walk through the door and lock it from the inside..."
Elvis Presley
Elvis died on August 16th 1977 at his beloved Graceland home. After his passing much was to be speculated as to the faith of Graceland and what it would become. Elvis' flamboyant spending meant that on his passing, his bank accounts were at the time not in a healthy positive and Priscilla's decision to open it in 1982 as a visitor's attraction would be to its survival to the museum it is today. However, on August 16th 1977, Graceland was a very different house to how it is today. As can be seen in the introduction credits of This Is Elvis, which brings us through the hall and upstairs of Elvis' home, made in 1981, Graceland was in Elvis' last taste of typical seventies, RETRO RED. The recent release of Inside Graceland, showing us in more detail, how Elvis left Graceland. With its opening in 1982, the property had its interriors changed back to how it looked in the early 1970's when Priscilla Presley lived there...
ElvisOnLine today asks you your opinions of the change and the house as it stands today...

ElvisOnLine today asks you your opinions of the change and the house as it stands today...
First Name: Sammy Last Name: Fee Country: Australia Comments: I heard that he didnt really like the Retro Red and this is why they changed it back how it is now is how he liked it apperently Ginger Alden had something to do with changing it to red but i may be wrong. if it is as Elvis liked it then i agree with it being changed back as it is his house and should be how he wants it.
First Name: joseph Last Name: owens Country: usa Comments: yes i agreed on that matter! i like the red,cuz it stands out more and prettier than the blue 'n white theme!!! it should be left alone, but priscilla changed that. linda thompson gets the credit, not priscilla! i want to buy that book, but how and who and where, and the cost in us dollars-not australian dollar.thank you very much, joseph m.owens, columbus, ohio, usa.
First Name: renee Last Name: evans Country: usa Comments: i think the house look's good either way at the end of elvis life was red now he is gone so why change it

COMING SOON, ELVISONLINE REVIEWS ...
THE LOVE SONGS
Always a true romantic, Elvis recorded many, many love songs throughout his career, beginning with "I Want You I Need You I Love You" in 1956 and running the entire span of his life. Entire eras of his remarkable life and career can be evoked by the mere mention of the title of one of his many love songs. Mention "Love Me Tender" and a hundred images spring to mind. The same can be said for his many other songs of romance. Elvis and his love songs had remained an unexplored area of Elvis' remarkable career. Now,"Love Me Tender. The Love Songs Of Elvis Presley" tells the warm story of the tender side of the King of Rock and Roll. Narrated by Ashley Judd, "Love Me Tender" is Elvis as you've never seen him.

NOV: ALERT!!!
Elvis, No 1 Dead Celebrity Earner 2008
 |
|
The American magazine Forbes just published it's yearly
list of top earning dead celebrities. Elvis is still the number
one in this list with a whopping $52 million. That is more
than some of today's active entertainers. For example,
Madonna earned $40 million. Famous legends as Marilyn
Monroe and James Dean are among the steady names in
the list. New arrivals are actors that just passed away:
Heath Ledger and Paul Newman. Two years ago, Elvis lost
the number 1 position to Kurt Cobain, who's catalogue was
sold in 2006. His name does not appear on the list anymore.
